The Brief

YETI is one of the hottest lifestyle brands around. Their legendary line of high-end, practically invincible coolers is coveted by hardcore fisherman, hunters and tailgaters around the country.

When YETI set out to create their flagship store in Austin Texas, they needed a modern display that let consumers explore their entire line of products in an easy, interactive format.

Wildlife designed and developed a digital touchscreen experience that enables shoppers to swipe through the full array of coolers, explore their features, and see them in action as they discover the right model for their needs.


The kiosk stands before a mosaic-like wall containing every Tundra cooler model, in their many shapes in sizes. It’s part product display, and part back-water art installation, with the “Tundra Wall” Touchscreen commanding it all.

We avoided an in-store reproduction of something you can find online; shoppers have plenty of tools to access the usual product information. Instead, we designed an experience that is unique to the physical space, extends the brand story, and guides shoppers through the final steps of model selection and purchase.


YETI is a rugged, no bull brand. Their coolers aren’t just measured in inches and liters, but by how many cans of beer and bags of ice they’ll hold for you.

Still, their products are premium and innovative, and their consumer touchpoints need to reflect this balance. We married modern UX conventions and sleek, responsive interactions with this grounded sensibility.

Layouts were designed purposefully for our 40" display, leading users from initial touch, through cooler selection and product breakdowns that are engaging but concise.

Every inch of the YETI space is carefully crafted and our interactive screen had to feel at home within this bold, unique style. Beautiful footage of the wild, slow motion nature action and fluid animated transitions move users through the app with a rush of energy and a sense of the exhilaration they’ll experience when they take their YETI into the wild.


As a permanent fixture in the YETI Flagship location, reliability and maintainability are key considerations. Built in HTML5, we can leverage media assets on an ongoing basis from existing YETI properties and layer them within experientially-tailored content and interaction mechanisms.

We wrapped the app with custom start-up procedures to ensure uptime, and installed secure remote access tools that allow our team to provide rapid support from our Los Angeles studio, along with product spec and pricing updates. This codebase might just be worthy of its own Bear Resistant seal.


YETI Flagship launched with visitors lined up out the door, and the Tundra Wall Touchscreen helped capture retail metrics and insights around this core product. The Tundra Wall app reinforces the quality and technology that has differentied YETI coolers from day one, without forgetting what it means to be Built For The Wild.
