With Comic-Con and E3 on hold in 2020, DC Comics and WB launched ‘DC FanDome’ — a 24hr virtual ‘Live’ event that engaged fans through exclusive reveals, panels, and online experiences.
Hidden within the multiverse was The Joker’s Escape, an interactive funhouse that invited fans to “step inside” The Joker’s head.
We worked feverishly in just a handful of weeks to craft, design, and develop a thrilling digital escape room centered around 3 exclusive interactive games and an immersive Joker-themed environment.
Built in a WebGL pipeline, fans were surprised with a high-end 3D experience full of striking visuals, easter eggs and a shareable result available for one day only. The result was a high-end, console game experience running in-browser and built for gaming fans to enjoy a rich and immersive desktop challenge.
Fans were led through 3 interactive traps in cinematic 360º gameplay. Masks of Madness tested fans’ demented laughter. Joker Friend? Joker Foe? challenged their DC knowledge in a game of cards against Joker and his cast of Heroes and Villains. The Kabooooom!!! Room brought explosive countdowns.
